serves as Stephanie Castillo's company for producing films
and videos, among other media services.
Begun in 1989, 'Olena Media has generated several short-form and
long-form TV documentary projects, including SIMPLE COURAGE, the 1992 Emmy Award-winning PBS documentary about
Hawaii’s leprosy epidemic. It
was co-produced with Hawaii Public Television.
The company's stable of professional, independent talent and technicians
has proven itself capable of producing high-quality products with national
broadcast-standards.
As a producer, director, editor and writer, Stephanie and her teams bring

Stephanie was born in
Honolulu. She and her seven
sisters grew up in an Army family and lived six years in Japan, four years in
the Philippines and the other years in Hawaii and the U.S. mainland.

Noel "Sonny" M. Izon
Stephanie
works in close partnership
Sonny and his Washington D.C.-based Interactive Communication Technology
company.
They have been long-time friends since high school and first
collaborated in 1990 when Sonny began assisting Stephanie with the
planning, scripting and editing of SIMPLE COURAGE, her 1993 EMMY Award-winning
PBS documentary.
